Celebrity Deaths: How did Ronnie Van Zant predict his own death?
Some musicians say that they want to go out in flames, but here is another example of a certain rock star who kept telling everyone that he wasn't going to make it to the age of thirty. Ronnie Van Zant, of the great band Lynyrd Skynyrd, was one of them. He had always said that he wanted to die young with his boots on. Three months before his end, he was in a chartered plane that happened to be turned down by Aerosmith because the pilots were known for keeping a bottle of Jack Daniels near the throttle. They still got on the plane and it crashed. It ran out of fuel in a swamp, three months from the time that he had predicted he was going to die. He had met his goal.
